Victory Butter: Because Something Had to Go Right in My Kitchen

You know how every great hero’s journey has a turning point — that one shining moment when everything finally works out after a series of disastrous failures?

Well, friends, here is my butter story!

Heavy Whipping Cream and a Mixer

Let’s rewind. Last week, I tried to bake bread. (If you haven’t read that post, The Two-Day Bread That Could (But Didn’t, I suggest you do — mainly so you can appreciate how far I’ve come, lol

Stodgy bread

Long story short: my bread had the density of a hockey puck, and not even this amazing butter story could fix it!

So, yesterday, I decided to reclaim some of my culinary dignity by doing something I've never done before. And it worked!

Heavy Cream in blender

Looks like butter!

Looks more like butter!

And buttermilk!

Butter!
Wow!  That's just amazing!

Butter and Buttermilk

So for $5.49, I now have butter (I need to weigh it) and almost 8 ounces of buttermilk!
I am pretty happy with the results.  Tonight, I'm trying bread again, and hopefully, with a bit of sourdough magic, it will be a glorious post to come!
